Choosing those special people to stand by your side as you walk down the aisle can be


Your chief bridesmaid, or maid of honour, or man of honour for that matter (it’s the 21st century) could be a close relative, your bff, or your colleague. There are no hard and fast rules but that doesn’t always mean it’s an easy choice.  

You may wish to ask them in person, you may wish to send them a card or a gift box.

What is certain is they’ll be flattered and delighted they get to play such a meaningful and personal part in your day, and in your life for that matter. Their duties might involve planning the hen do/sten do (stag and hen do combined)/stag do, or fox do (because love is love) you might want them to do a reading or a speech, you might want them to help with various projects.  


Essentially you need someone who will be by your side, who will not only pass you the glue to stick your dried flowers to your invites but also the glue who will hold you together when the going gets tough. Someone who will be there for you (anyone else humming the theme tune to ‘Friends’?)
